富(fu)(fu)勒烯(xi)(xi)（Fullerene) 是(shi)單質碳被發現的(de)(de)第三種同素(su)(su)異(yi)形體。任何由碳一(yi)種元(yuan)(yuan)素(su)(su)組成，以(yi)(yi)球狀(zhuang)，橢圓(yuan)狀(zhuang)，或管狀(zhuang)結(jie)構(gou)存在(zai)的(de)(de)物(wu)(wu)質，都(dou)可(ke)以(yi)(yi)被叫做富(fu)(fu)勒烯(xi)(xi)，富(fu)(fu)勒烯(xi)(xi)指的(de)(de)是(shi)一(yi)類(lei)物(wu)(wu)質。富(fu)(fu)勒烯(xi)(xi)與石墨(mo)結(jie)構(gou)類(lei)似，但石墨(mo)的(de)(de)結(jie)構(gou)中只有六(liu)元(yuan)(yuan)環，而富(fu)(fu)勒烯(xi)(xi)中可(ke)能(neng)存在(zai)五(wu)元(yuan)(yuan)環。1985年Robert Curl等人制(zhi)備出了C60。1989年，德國科學(xue)(xue)家Huffman和Kraetschmer的(de)(de)實驗證實了C60的(de)(de)籠型結(jie)構(gou)，從此(ci)物(wu)(wu)理學(xue)(xue)家所(suo)發現的(de)(de)富(fu)(fu)勒烯(xi)(xi)被科學(xue)(xue)界推向一(yi)個嶄新的(de)(de)研究階段。富(fu)(fu)勒烯(xi)(xi)的(de)(de)結(jie)構(gou)和建筑師Fuller的(de)(de)代表作相似，所(suo)以(yi)(yi)稱為富(fu)(fu)勒烯(xi)(xi)。
初步研究表(biao)明，富(fu)勒烯類化合物在(zai)抗HIV、酶活性抑制、切割DNA、光動力學治療等方面有*的功(gong)效。
